What happened to the search choice in the Petunias by characteristics, such as Propagation Type, Daylight Neutral etc?

Yes that does get you there, but if you type in Petunias in the initial plant database screen, this is what pops up.

Many of those links will get you to the petunias database front page. Also, if you search for petunias (plural) it will take you straight there).

OK, I've been using the plural before. That's why it didn't show up. Can we not have it show up for single search of Petunia or is it only with Petunias?

It's one or the other.
If you search the genus name (like petunia) you get the full list of all plants inside that genus.
