Grown from seed in its second year. There is a dark blue dot in the inside of the flower. As noted below this is typical of many dark colored pulsatilla flowers.
Sorry, but the "dark blue dot" on the inside of the flowers is common to many Pulsatilla species with darker coloured flowers; when the petals are dark, the styles also tend to be dark, so it doesn't actually distinguish Pulsatilla vulgaris.
