I have a friend in Romania and I'd like to give her a gift certificate for a gardening center/nursery. Some place where she could order on line. Does anyone have any suggestions?

No. But I need a source in Europe, I think, because most things can't be sold across the pond.... At least they can't come here from Europe.

You can do an advanced search on Ebay. It will list Romanian sellers only if you choose. Still, I know you would rather have a personal reference. Ebay is always a tad bit risky.

Although it's not a "garden center or nursery", Sears sells and ships worldwide. From their webpage you can select a county and go from there. The offer garden equipment (mowers/tillers/etc) and also hand equipment (pruners/misc hand tools) and I'm sure there are more choices by selecting the menu on the left of their page. I'd select the county first, then start browing the site, just to see if there might be something your friend might be interested in.

I doubt any gift certificates would work here.
Unless it's from a nursery abroad, that ships to Romania.

If they are a good friend and trustworthy, and use paypal, you could transfer the amount and that person could go and buy plants from ebay or any other site (usually they accept paypal payment).
