Glossary: Naturalized, Invasive and Noxious

The terms “invasive” and “naturalized” are used to refer to both garden plants and non-native plants growing in wild areas.

Here in North Central Texas we have Chinese privet

Wax leaf ligostrum also a major invader in our forests ans city parks.

Also Salt Cedar Tamarisk along our rivers and water ways.

Yes, we have it here too, but not as much as the ones I mentioned.
We all have to be vigilant and do our part. Smiling

I agree We have Japanese Knotweed, loosestrife and ivy here in our area that have become a problem. Oh, and scotch broom.

Chinaberry, Asian wisteria, Japanese privet, and English and poison ivy are major invaders in my yard.

And what kills me is that you can BUY some of these plants at big box stores every spring. Rolling my eyes.
