Nice photo. Red-flowered plants always have a special appeal!
The plant is "growing out in nature" but it is either planted or a garden escape, as it is not native to the area shown.

Great link Lori, thank you. I have tried to grow it here but it is just to wet for our very long rain season (winter, through spring).

Lori sorry I posted it under the above mentioned name, rest is news. No, it is not planted and pretty isolated from any garden. I can assure you very far from the Florida Everglades or Texas but wonder of wonders any thing can happen in the plant world.
