In my persuit of , something a' little different', I purchased seeds of lilium 'Starburst' from 'Georgia Vines' late in 2010..It turned out that year , that liliums 'Pup Art' and 'Olina' were available in the bulb market, so my seed purchase, had been somewhat futile..Today[after 2 yrs of raising] I could not resist ,assisting to open the 'orange ' bud[thinking/hoping, could it possibly be 'Buggys' -orange 'Starburst] NO!!-you guess!!- mine is'Orange Art'

Well, I think it looks like it will be grand. I'm not familiar with the parentage of Starburst, but it would be likely that seed of Starburst would not come true, anyway. Your result so far, however, does seem far removed from the original hybrid. And it looks like eight petals...

better, 6 petals, and very vibrant colour[ A hot day!! ,..,man alive, is it hot ..32.4,.]my recycle bin blew over..we have a helicopter up behind us, fighting a scrub fire.,.,and ive realised i cant live in an AC world[give me the natural hot/cold anytime],.,.add to it the ''boom boom boom'' of a childrens party up above us[16+], at which most are wiped off their face already,.hmmm- Im getting old - and I bet they've got no 'Pink Floyd' albums...............................Anthony

I like the way the bud is opening on that one. Wonder if it will do that next season. That's a pretty unique trait, if it is not just an anomaly.
Can you imagine breeding that into a double form?
