Lucky - Yes! But wait till I receive the bill! Shipping alone for 1 box is like $25 plus the price of the rose(s). I'll starve myself for a week or two. Hilarious!

Here's Marchioness of Londonderry - freshly dug, probably been in their garden since the beginning.Thumb of 2011-04-13/Tex68/79e3fb

Royal Ascot - another freshly dug. Look at the size of those roots.
Thumb of 2011-04-13/Tex68/165572

And the rest - Bonita Renaissance (right) 5-gal size, Mme Cordier and Ammonit - 2-gal size.Thumb of 2011-04-13/Tex68/d17b09

They're currently soaking in a solution of Superthrive and seaweed, dug the holes this AM and will go in the ground tomorrow.

Nothing yet, Toni. I'll let you know when I get billed. I think they're $29 each and some are so heavy that the postage is about $15 even within the state of California. I think I'll qualify for a hefty discount.

The price per rose might sound high, but it's less than double the price of a little band rose that might or might not survive, and even if it were to survive, it would take at least 20 years to get this big. These are huge, huge roses and most (or all) of them are grafted, so they're absolutely ideal.

Most of them don't fit in the 5-gallon gopher cages or even the 15-gallon cages. Luckily, some still have the original tags from Hortico, so the gophers won't be interested in those anyway because they're grafted on Multiflora.

Zuzu is right! Received one box again yesterday - Marchesa Boccella. At $29 plus shipping, it is so worth the price.

Dreamward is definitely dreamy: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...
Kiss of Fire is pretty aptly named: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...
However, Moody Dream is not aptly named... I was thinking something mroe .. darker? http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...
But I just may have to steal this France Libre!! http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...

Moody Dream is something I've wanted for many, many years. It's a hand-painted McGredy rose in mauve. It used to be available at a lot of places, but that was before I got interested in hand-painted roses 5 or 6 years ago.

I ordered France Libre for 3 or 4 years in a row from Hortico, but they never had it in stock. Hortico called it Summer Sunset and it sounded like the ideal rose for my garden because I have at least 20 roses with "summer" or "sunset" in their names. This one actually had both!!!!
