Omigosh Arlyn -- pages and pages of them. I looked at it the other day and thought "where the heck would I put them all". I have seriously got to start limiting my infatuations!!!

I wish for spaces which are getting fewer. Hope I can move some out as this is our club's sale year. & if all the seedlings bloom I can discard some of those. This year's weather didn't allow some of those to bloom.

I wake early and spend the dark hours looking at iris websites.
I also keep my wishlists from year to year and add to them.
I am running out of appropriate space for iris and asked if anyone had grown the early ones with established lily beds cause thats what I have left for space.Turns out its not a good idea.

I had about 12 iris plants since 2008 but added around 55 new varieties in the past 2 seasons.
I dont plant in large beds because the allowable space has been used with other lilies and perennials since I started gardening here in '07.
There is no sensible reason why I am making new wishlists.
Probably just busy-bee lists while I wait for spring.
The SDB's and Dwarfs are looking good for edges of paths.

My wish list has 27 on it. 21 were left over from last year, and 6 new ones I'm going to order from Tempo 2. I need to get that order out soon. Then hopefully all of Keppel, Mid America, and Ghio's new intro's will be ugly, and I won't have to spend a fortune, FAT CHANCE for that to happen. Rolling on the floor laughing

Omigosh Tom -- you gave me a start when you said you needed to get that order out soon -- surely not!!?? Then I realized -- it's December -- and Iris orders begin in January, don't they?

Wow -- the 2013 season is upon us!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Yah -- for the first time ever -- all the Iris hybridizers are going to present nothing but ugly intros. This, of course, is to give us Iris-lovers a break from the usual spending frenzy that empties our wallets!! Hilarious!

I know Superstition, BluJay, and Bluebird Haven do. And I'm sure there are more.I just wish this property issue would clear up! I hate to order plants and then not have room for them, or have to put them in temp beds. When do you put out your 2013 list, Dee? You have some "oldies", don't you?....Arlyn

This year I will offer one page that is nothing but iris over 30 years old, It will say simply Historics on the left side of page, not doing beardless this year at all as need a years rest and want to really evaluate some of the bearded seedlings this year. Want to judge all the 06-09 seedlings and decide keep, compost or bred.

You can see all my medians on Snowpeak on Facebook now.

The webpage which normally opens in Jan might be in Feb early.

Also later today I will be posting the intro's from Anita Moran, Rod Mendenhall and Dale Austin

I'll decide when the catalogs come. I need to eliminate some to make room for newer ones. I want Keppel's Friendly Advice and Ghio's Spectacle. I will also get some medians from Mid-America. And then who knows?

I would think that Dwarf irises would bloom in April in KY. If you go to the AIS website www.irises.org you would fine Ky iris groups on their links & people there could give you the information.

Our dwarf irises usually bloom in early may in MA but last year popped up in April so you don't know especailly if climate change is cropping up. New iris catalogs come out late Jan to April. If the Blyth orders are to be sent directly from Tempo Two in Australia it is out now. If from Keppel it will be the end of Jan. I have heard that he is thinking of just sending out a flyer since he is cutting back.

I am excited for the Ghio Intro's I thought his seedlings were fantastic Thumbs up and I hope some of my favorites make the cut this year, also looking forward to Mid Americas they have some medians that were talking to me and I don't have many so this year I will be working on some smaller ones.

I really like medians for my garden. The TBI's are OK but flop some.
I am looking but space is a problem so I will need to cut my wishlist by quite a lot.
Here are some currant meds I have on my list.I realize they will get eliminated when I see something new.
