Hi,
There are a couple of misidentified photos under Corydalis solida. They are Corydalis but I don't know which species. I gather they should be moved to some sort of general category for Corydalis, where perhaps someone can ID them correctly. However, it doesn't seem possible to pick this category when proposing to move the photos "to a different plant".
Advice?
Thanks,
Lori

In these cases, the simplest solution is to use the entry ID number instead of the name of the plant. If you go to the general Corydalis entry, you'll find the Plant ID number at the bottom of the page: 242607.

Fumewort (Corydalis)

Type that number into the "move to" space.

Okay, I'm having the same problem again.... how do you get to the "general category" for Castilleja? Other than using the link you sent above, Zuzu, I don't see how to get to the general category for any genus. Confused

There's a very good reason you're not finding it, Lori. It doesn't exist. Green Grin! I'll create a general entry for you.

Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja)

The number is 546223.

On the upper right side of the main Plant Database page, there is a window that says "visit our custom databases" with a list of genera below it. Click on any of those genus names and you'll get a page like this: The Trilliums Database

The third option under "Search and Browse Options" on those types of pages is "Access the general ..... entry". Click on that and you are good to go.

However, as zuzu indicated, some genera don't have a general entry yet, most likely simply because no one has requested it.

A fourth option is to go into the Plant Database page and search for just the genus name. If a parent plant exists, it will tell you at the top of the search results.
