Questions about this plant:

Is it considered invasive, and will it kill trees? I notice it likes to climb up trees and starts to invade the trees canopy. Is that a bad thing?

Is there a male and female version of this plant? I have a plant that looks exactly like this one but it doesn't have those blue coloured berries.

Thanks

There seems to be a love-or-hate relationship to this plant. From what I can figure, it seems to be invasive in the eastern states, not so bad in the western. You may want to open the related discussions located below the comment section to read up on what folks have to say about it. I'm in the Pacific NW and purposely planted it under my deck to grow along a support wire to soften the deck edge.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
