Thanks Teresa and Betty, I'm still working with it so the seedling is not registered yet. It's hard to find a consistant dormant tet pattern to work with, not even sure there are any others available. The top two images are Jerry Hyatt, sorry I should have labeled them better.

Very nice seedlings Ann, the Stack the Deck kid is really pretty, looks big too. Our temps rarely get above the mid 90's,, this summer I think the high was 92 or 93 and only for 2 or 3 days. (Sorry, to everyone who suffered the drought and high heat.) On the other side we had a few mornings during peak in July that were 45 +/-. The silvery coloring seems to appear with the cooler temps, warmer temps make it break up...interesting to see happening in another area of the country. In your seedlings you can also see the dependancy UF traits have with heat. Pinching in the first one, a bit more cascade in the second and the Zuni kid doesn't show the quilled sepals as well when the temps are cooler.

Dragonfly Dawn certainly is popular! The next few years will be exciting for many as they get to see their seedlings from it. I've been watching the LA for just the right cross to buy. Waves of Joy is sooo tempting but I hesitate to add anything with a high pricetag until there's a bit more info for hardiness. Wild Dreams, is that the Larry Grace pattern? If I were working in dips that would be one I would want to try. The eye of HB49 sdlg has some very cool inner rings and shapes, should cross really well with the others you have Dot .

Char, in the description of WILD DREAMS Larry Grace indicated he has a TET. WILD DREAMS -- WOW! Hurray! He mentioned that he was going to see his first seedlings from it "this coming spring," and I believe he wrote that a year ago -- so maybe this coming spring he'll get his first blooms, if he hasn't already! I wonder if he will be selling some of the tet version at some point...

Teresa, Vic's photo is the Trimmer's photo of it. I don't know if their's was taken in the greenhouse or outside. My first 2 photos in the data base were taken in April and the other 2 were taken in June. The first 2 were on James Hall's clump that had been planted in the bed already and the other 2 are from my clump that was planted the November before. The less white color the ones from my clump is due to the admendments in my soil changing the color.

They are all beautiful, just noting how different a bloom can look. I have to amend my soil here. We have a very heavy clay. I have been buying a western mix. It has pine fines, leaf compost, sand and topsoil.

$2500.00 I would be out cold.

Ah yes, I can't believe I never noticed that before! I think I suffer from acute tunnel vision!!! All I can say is -- thank heavens I'm not totally into those eye patterns, because I'd probably be trying to figure out a way to manage it! I'm very happy to have the diploid, though, that I got with the collection last year. I know it's going to be a wonderful addition to my garden come springtime, after I've finally gotten it out of the pot and into the ground.

Here is a pic of GET JIGGY. It is one of the first patterned dl that I saw in a garden. It didn't look anything like this but it improved with time.

kerthump...just me falling out of the chair, $2500 Blinking not sure if I should lay here laughing or crying...

One that I added for my patttern crosses several years ago is Screen Pattern (Stamile 2005)

Thumb of 2012-12-07/Char/ddcded

Not a happy plant here but it does give me a few pods every year and some nice seedlings. Sometimes the older pattern intro's can be used with good results. Years ago I did crosses with Total Commitment, Stenciled Impressions, Point of Divergence, Mystical Rainbow, Blue Eyes Glance and a few others, the earlier pattern sdlg images posted are from these crosses. The best seedlings have been crossed together and crossed out to other things, I never know what will show up, some are really good and interesting, some are just plain ugly.

There's still a lot of exploring that can be done with the older pattern cv's . You don't have to use only the newest or most expensive ones available to have fun with patterns or get good results.

Here is what GET JIGGY has looked like for me for the past two years.

I've had better luck with WILD DREAMS this year.

I sure wish it was a tet! But I am loving seeing everyone's beautiful eye patterns. Dot, you're building an incredible collection there!

Betty, that looks about like the one I saw too. Nothing much jiggy going on. It is a nice bloom but the patterned eye is the selling point for a lot of buyers.
