And St. Patrick

These are not necessarily my most beautiful blooms... they are just the bushes I can depend on for consistent performance and blooms through the entire season.

for most carefree its a 3 way tie between new dawn , about face and hot cocoa, they just go to town no matter what. now my best in show went to eden this yr. and my favorite is a noid.
here is the noid. and its not aloha because i got it and aloha is way pinker and less fragrant. it blooms in clusters and is at about 12 ft now..

You're right, Dana: It doesn't help in choosing. Maybe we should have a forum for bragging about roses no one else can have. That one's so gorgeous that everyone would want it. I know I do.

Beautiful photos, as always, Dana.

Evey, that Angel Face in cool weather is such a beautiful photo it makes me want to scream with joy. I love it!

Dana: I ordered mine from Pickering and it came as a bare root plant. I was so worried that I would lose them during the winter, but they rooted much better than the potted ones. My photo doesn't do it justice, by far. Love your NOID.

Evey, Angel Face and Peace are now on my list. Quite lovely.

Zu, so many of yours have already made it to my list. My only problem is convincing DH to let me till up more garden areas! Rolling my eyes.

Angie, you will love both of those. They really are stars in the garden. Of course, Peace has been consistently popular for so very long... a rose doesn't have that kind of staying power without performing well.

Evey: My MIL had a few roses and Peace was one of hers, so I want to put it in our garden. She also had Mr. Lincoln, Queen Elizabeth, and a yellow one that no one can remember the name of. We gave her Double Delight one year for her birthday, so that one will be added, too.

Wonderful favorites everyone!
Angie, are you sure that's Mary Rose? I have never seen it that dark, it's a true rich pink.

My 1st best performer, (and favorite rose) is Eureka! Great repeat, very healthy foliage, luscious coloring! Can't remember fragrance right now. I have been a hog with adding so many pictures of it on it's DG PlantFile but I can't help it.

Here's the whole bush, taken mid Sept. Foliage always seems to look that good.

Hot Cocoa, for it's rich deep green healthy foliage, quick repeat and distinctive smokey coloring.

(back later to finish, need to organize some of my rose folders, too many to look through!)
