Sempervivum 'Oddity'

Lynn. I know you love your cute babies but today's is pretty well moth eaten. What happened to it, hail?

Oddity is one of those plants which look a little bit "ODD"
Some of us like the occasional less than perfect plants LIke some of the people we like.

Masud, that is the way the sempervivum grows, it makes odd tubes instead of open/flat leaves.


Like Marilyn said, it is an odd plant, just like it owner.

OoH! Ok! I thought some thing had been busy at the tips. If that is supposed to be beauty, then I it.

Lynn, as soon as I saw this today I knew what it was! I'd just received mine in the mail on Monday

One of my favorites. Lynn, thank you for my "replacement" Oddity ... as well as all the others you sent in my raffle box. They are all beautiful. I meant to get a photo of the box when it arrived but that didn't happen. It was stuffed full.

I am so glad you are happy with them Tee. Can't wait to see how they do for you come spring time.

Masud, it will produce the occasional normal offset, which really looks odd growing in amongst the odd ones.

Learning is like a big adventure. I have learned about many new plants from you Masud, fascinating ones from the other side of the world.

This summer it put out about 3 of them from the mature clump in one of the raised beds.

Yes Lynn, I can see the three offsets. .
It is a cold and drippy day with snow up in the mountains. Drippy because these flakes of snow convert into a very fine kind of rain by the time it reaches us.
