I am so thankful to have found a position here back in Texas. I am a technical service rep for a major life science products company here in Austin. it is different being in industry now, but I like it so far.

Mom and dad are still up by Waco and doing well. I am happy to be back closer to them. Mom had a stroke last year just before Christmas so that made me really work to find a position closer to home. She is doing very well now, and has recovered fully but the 13 hour drive from MO last year made me not want to have to do that ever again.

I still have some houseplants but with the move to and from MO I haven't been able to do much gardening. I am really looking forward to getting back into it, and will definitely try to make the spring swap.

:) Kim

Kim, it's great that you are back in Texas! I too hope to see you and your family at the spring swap. I "lost" a son to the North for four long years, but he, his wife, and baby daughter moved to Austin from Pennsylvania last summer. Life is MUCH better with my only grandchild just 1 1/2 hours away. And her parents too, of course. Smiling I know your parents are relieved that you are near them again.
Patricia
