Their website has been updated for 2013 now, and they have a sale for those who purchase one of their new 2013 introductions -- 20% off your entire order. I just placed my order, including two of Heidi Douglas's new introductions: DATING A ROYAL and MEME'S TUITTI FRUITI.

I also ordered ELEGANT CANDY, MISSISSIPPI MAN, RUBY LIPSTICK and WORTH IT ALL (I'm into big green throats now!).

Hey Betty.
They have some great DL. Some of the seedlings Heidi has in the pipeline are amazing.

Hi Emily -- do you have any pictures of it? I would love to see one! And how green would you say the throat is? I'm going to get it anyway, but I'm really searching for big green throats now and that one just leaped out at me.

I do...i will try to upload some....it may take a few days as i dont have good internet at home...i just went back and looked at some of my photos on my phone of it and i would say the throat is a yellowish green..not as green as rose F kennedy or some of the others...but most definitely if it was say crossed with one of them it would throw green throat kids...i have one photo of it in a paper dinner plate and it takes up the whole plate!!

p.s. if you want to see one now send me a tree mail with your phone # and I can always text you one!

Oops -- I'm the old fashioned type and don't do texting -- sorry! And I can certainly wait until you have time to upload one. The problem with crossing it with ROSE F. KENNEDY is that it's a diploid and WORTH IT ALL is a tet. There is a tetraploid conversion, TET. ROSE F. KENNEDY, but I don't think it's for sale anywhere yet and will probably cost a small fortune when it is finally offered -- but I've ordered TET. TIME STOPPER from Floyd Cove, which also has a lot of green in it, and we'll see if I get anything from using it over the next few years.

Both are beautiful blooms. Speaking of dips and tets. I am making new markers before Spring and I plan on placing a * on the ones that are tets.

Here is a picture of WORTH IT ALL (J. Carpenter) from our garden taken in June 2010. I really like the green throats in daylilies, and this one is a garden standout.

I have spent the past few days since Christmas organizing daylily and garden pictures with David's help. He has put them in folders so we can now find a certain picture. I still have MANY pictures to label and much to learn. Just when I think I have something figured out, I find out that I don't. David had our son to build a new computer as a Christmas present for me since mine was the oldest of our two. This is the first picture that I have posted to a site from my new computer! YEA! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Fantastic! And great pictures of that beauty, guys! Thanks so much for posting them, and now I'm dying for next spring to come! And I do hope you post them to the database because they're both standout pictures!

Betty, we got our Browns Ferry catalog yesterday. Heidi has some really pretty intros for 2013. I also like the two that you have ordered and DANCE WITH SOMEONE and I'M GONNA LOVE YOU THROUGH IT. I would like to have all four of these, and the price of her entire collection for 9 is really a good deal. We don't have the room for extras at this time. And, I don't need to spend any more money than I already have on daylilies right now. I did send an email to check on the availabilty of two from the general price list. Now, I will wait to hear back.

Charles and Heidi are coming to one of our daylily clubs' meeting this spring. Maybe we will get lucky and bring home one of these four. Big Grin

Doris

When I checked email this morning (6 AM EST) I found an email that both daylilies are available. We will be getting COACH'S HOT LIPS and WHALE TAILS. We can get a DF of WHALE TAILS here for what a SF is starting at on the Lily Auction. COACH'S HOT LIPS is lower than the hybridizer's price where I had planned to order it from.
