Can you upload a photo showing the base of the stems? So many Aroid leaves look alike but to my eyes, it doesn't look quite right for Spade-Leaf Philodendron (Philodendron hastatum) which is also commonly called Silver Sword Philodendron. The leaves in your photo appear thicker than what I remember for P. hastatum. A variety of Anthurium may be another possibility.

I would so hesitate to try and ID that seeing that you are in Australia. It is NOT P. hastatum unless it is a hybrid. The reason I say this is because on other aroid pages I belong to, all of the Australians say that almost all of the Anthurium and Philodendron there are hybrids...due to the fact that the laws against importation have been so strict for so many years. There are a few of Philos that it looks like on the surface. But I can;t say with any assurance that is a species, and not a hybrid of some sort

It reminds me of one I got in a trade years ago as Philodendron domesticum but I was told there is no such species and the plant was Spade Leaf Philodendron (Philodendron 'Fantasy') that is sold as Philodendron Domesticum.

This is the one I got in trade years ago that I eventually gave away:

This is one in my backyard, juvenile leaves growing near the ground and the mature plant growing up the tree:

I have a lot of difficulty comparing photos and Philodendron leaves can vary in shape and color with age, growing conditions, etc.

It's also similar looking to the one I got a couple of years ago that had no label. Someone told me it was Philodendron burle-marxii and someone else told me they thought it might be the cultivar named Philodendron 'Burle-Marx' but there's no way to be certain since it wasn't labeled.

I don;t think its Burle Marx those are pretty specific in their morphology. If you could EMAIL me a set of good photos @Anson38 I can share them with a group of folks I know who are very good at identifying plants. The photos need to come out full size so that I can transfer them to my photo program and attach them to emails. If interested in doing this, PM me and I will give you my email address

So far, the trend is leaning toward Philodendron sagittifolium

We only have a single photo of Philodendron sagittifolium in our database and it sure is a good resemblance to Anson38's plant!
