Apple Pan Dowdy

Long, long years ago when our colonists made their way across the ocean, they brought with them valuable things. One of those valuable things was the apple seed. From those seeds came so many different apple colors, textures and flavors, it's difficult today to make a choice.

Why no soak pits, it will also recharge the subsoil water.

We've never had drought before the past 2 years, Arif.
I guess we never thought we'd have these problems.
Not prepared.

We never had droughts either but due to climate change this winter has been exceptionally dry. Last year also it was dry. Sub soil water used to be at 60 feet now you have to go down below 120 feet to get first moisture. I have also been giving thought to soak pits back filled with rocks then planted to hide. I have seen beautifully made up soak pits in Australia but then they had a head start compared to the rest. I have also seen them use retaining walls planted with Bamboo to delay the travel of water. We or the next generation will have to learn how to be happy with less. We laugh at rabbits/mice but we are no better.
Regards,
Arif.
