I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a better 2013.

We had Christmas last night over at my Dad's house. I did take some pictures last night of my pond, but they did not come out very well. Here are the pictures I took this morning - check out my car - it is buried. Grumbling

I am not a snowbunny, so definitely thinking about our warmer weather friends. Perhaps you could start some threads with pictures of your ponds, so those of us in Snow Heaven can enjoy warmer ponding days via your ponds? I'm all ears!

Did any of you get something for your ponds for Christmas?

Hoping everyone has a wonderful New Year. Smiling

Happy New Year to you too. I will try and take some pics of the ponds in the next few days to share with those of you in the cold. We have been warmer than usual this last week, it's been over 90°f every day but it does drop to the low 70°s at night.

I took this pic a couple days ago, it is Wood's Blue Goddess. I need to get in the pond and fertilize and probably repot some of the lilies but I hurt my knee so it won't happen soon. The problem with all year ponding is that there is no set time to do these chores and I forget until the flowers get small. The water is colder at this time of year and there are a few less hours of sunshine, mostly the angle of the sun changes and my pond is shaded more of the day. Because of this there are fewer blooms and they are smaller.

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

Very pretty Jonna. I really like the bicolor lily pads.

I wish I could have my pond running year round. I miss it so much right now. DH has made a number of recordings of our pond so I can put them into my DVD player and enjoy the pond that way.

Thank you so much for sharing - as you can see by my photos, it is going to be awhile until I can enjoy my pond.
