I see the Verbena hastata and the V. hastata alba, but I also have the pink variety. Is there a specific name for that one? It comes true in my garden, althoug I also have the purple and white one.

I agree Tee unless someone can provide evidence showing that the Verbena ICRA (Brooklyn Botanical Garden) has granted var. rosea cultivar status.

I'm finding some discrepancies both within our DB and in the taxon DB's.

It looks like our entry Verbena hastata 'Alba' is incorrect as I can't find a reference for the cv. at other than garden sites and sellers sites. Perhaps it's V. hastata f. albiflora (per Kew).
White Vervain (Verbena hastata 'Alba')
http://apps.kew.org/wcsp/named...
RHS DB notes it as "name not found in literature" http://apps.rhs.org.uk/horticu...

Kew and Tropicos note f. caerulea. I wonder if this is the purple flowering form you have Jonna?
http://apps.kew.org/wcsp/named...

Perhaps we need to ask that the caption of the photos note the botanical name (with variety or form) and they all be placed in the V. hastata entry with appropriate synonyms noted.

Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata)

The names do mostly seem to be listed as synonyms of Verbena hastata when they are even noted at all.
I garden for the pollinators.

Here is a picture of my pink Verbena hastata. I have pink, purple and white and they come true all 3 until now.

Verbena hastata, like many species of wild plants that typically have blue or blue-violet flowers, will often produce pink- or white-flowered individuals within a population. There is no reason why pictures of the pink- or white-flowered versions can't be entered in the existing Verbena hastata entry: Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata)

Kent, what do you think about moving the 'Alba' into the species and then listing it as "also sold as"?

I think that would be a good idea, Evan.
