I thought I'd share some of my favorite rose photo sites in this "Choosing Roses" forum. I guarantee your list will grow as you wander through this site. This link will take you to the A-E roses.

At the bottom of the page, you can navigate further on in the alphabet or click on "site index" and find lots of different categories to peruse. The David Austin page is a real treat, and I especially love the McGredy page. Toni, there's a page of mauve roses just for you.

At times, this photo tour is heartbreaking because these women live in New Zealand and some of the roses you'll fall in love with at first sight aren't available anywhere on this continent.

Oh, I know. I really want Ambrosia and Cappuccino and City of Dunedin, and I'm only halfway through the first page, but they're all unavailable here.

Desert Spice, Lavender Girl, Moody Blues, Tropical Skies - those are the ones that are not available here in the US that I really would like to have. However, I emailed Southern Roses for Tropical Skies & Peak Perennials for Moody Skies (I love that Moody Skies!) The others I saw (about 20-30) that I liked I can get here in the US (mostly Rogue Valley or Vintage Gardens for most.. love that Ripples!)

Cliff carried Moody Blues the first year Eurodesert was open. By the time I ordered it, it was sold out, so I've been waiting for him to offer it again.

Well, got an answer back from Southern Roses:
--
Dear Toni,

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes we export roses overseas. The minimum order
to be shipped should be 5000 rose plants. Is that the figure you are looking
at?

Please feel free to contact me if you have further queries.

Kind Regards,

Southern Roses

Well, you want one and I'll take one of them, so now you just have to find a home for the other 4,998, not to mention getting an import license, paying the import duties, and keeping the roses in quarantine for a specific period of time.

Well, yes, mine too, but the purplish ones are the worst. Several are already leafless this year.
