Hello, I was gifted with a certificate from Schreiner's and was looking at the pinks. I love the new POP THE QUESTION but will wait until the price drops a little.

Any grow I PINK I CAN and PINKING OF YOU? I was wondering which is best. I added STRAWBERRY SHAKE last Fall. Thanks for any input.

I don't seem to have any pink selfs, but I think Pinking of You is really cute. I do so like Sixtine's Pink Lovey dubby , but I haven't been growing irises long enough to have the confidence to buy a $40 iris *Blush* . (lol *yet*)

You'll have to let us know how Strawberry Shake works out for you this year. Speaking only for myself, from 6a, I'm always interested to know what is doing well in my general neck of the woods.

I don't grow I Pink I Can, but I do grow Pinking of You, which is the daughter of I Pink I Can. I would regard Pinking of You and Anna Belle Babson as my two pinkest pinks, but of those two, Anna Belle Babson is the one that really glows vivid pink in the afternoon or morning sun.

I also love Beverly Sills for its floriferous vigor, though it is more apricot. I have Vanity, too, but I accidentally stepped on its bloom stalk last year, so I am eagerly awaiting its bloom this spring.

You can compare my photos on the database for Pinking of You, Anna Belle Babson, and Beverly Sills. In the database page for Pinking of You, scroll down for my two photos of it. The photo to the right, showing it pinker, is the more accurate depiction of is color. These photos were all taken with the same camera.

Beverly Sills: clump shot, backlit

Pinking of You (my picture with the more accurate color)

Anna Belle Babson: this is the one that really glows, as you can see by both my shot and Irislady's.

I planted Magical last summer, as well as Double Platinum, and can hardly wait for them to bloom! Another gorgeous bi-tone pink is Pond Lily

Pond Lily

It won both the Franklin Cook Memorial Medal and the Wister Medal.

Daisy, I have been growing 'Pond Lily' for years. It is one of my early blooming iris and a very reliable bloomer, as well as being gorgeous. I love it and have it growing in about three different places in my garden!

'Strawberry Shake' is one of my all time favorite pinks. It has not done well for me in Louisville after the first year it bloomed..I bought it again because I love it so much and planted it last summer. Crossing Fingers!
'Magical 'is another one I just love.
I thought about buying' Pinking of You 'because of it's color, but haven't.

Pretty Kitty is my best performing pink, always booms, grows well and has nice form.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/5530fe
Catch My Breath is a beautiful kind of muted blended color pink, Grows OK here, but not fast.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/6146aa
Don't stop Believing, Pink with blue highlights and blue beard. Good grower and bloomer, Very tall, and can be blown over if not staked, but a reliable bloomer.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/356e3f
Fantasy In Pink is a good grower and performer here. Also good parent.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/6a9d7f
Marital Bliss is another nice pink that I like a lot.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/ad1549
My Cher Of Happiness bloomed regularly, but the form wasn't consistently nice, and since I needed the space this one got re-homed.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/8b9634
Peace Keeper is a nice light pink one, grows well too.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/984e72
Picture Book is a consistently good performing pink, lots of ruffles and decent grower here.

Poodle Parade just bloomed for the first time here last year, Did well, haven't had it long enough to see how will it will perform over time.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/43c1a4
I've had Star Turn since a new introduction and it bloomed for the first time last summer. Nearly lost it to rot, but it made a comeback.

Still The One is an amazing flower. A bit more subtle then my picture in the sun shows, but very nicely formed and consistent bloomer here.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/341385
Sugar High is a lovely ruffled flower, some blue blends in the beard, but a nice pink.

Wait A Minute is another very nice pink, bloomed last summer after being planted the year before. I haven't had it long enough to know it's long term growth habits.

Thumb of 2021-02-09/tveguy3/545d1b
What A Beauty, another spectacular flower, not a fast grower, but sure is a beauty.

I didn't mention other pink irises that I have that have been presented above by other people. Smiling

Tom, do you have Pinking of You ? I know it was listed before, but I'm curious to compare your bloom (if you have it) next to your other pinks.

These three pinks outdid themselves in 6B last spring. Star Appeal is not as coral as the first picture but it is really beautiful. Strawberry Shake bloomed prolifically last year as did Don't Stop Believing.
