I got confirmation of almost my entire order today.. only $102 this time (only 4 roses, though). This is what I ordered:

Blue River http://www.helpmefind.com/rose...
Blueberry Hill http://www.helpmefind.com/gard... (had it before, it croaked)
Star of the Nile http://www.helpmefind.com/gard... (had it before, it croaked)
Brown Study http://www.helpmefind.com/gard...

That's what's being shipped to me in mid April. Hopefully in late May they'll have my other 2 ready:

Distant Thunder http://www.helpmefind.com/gard...
Coffee Country http://www.helpmefind.com/gard...

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! And now they take credit cards! I hate sending money through the mail...

Nice selection, Toni.

That's great aboiut the credit cards. I think many potential customers were discouraged by the need to send a check.

The website still says they don't take credit cards: "checks, cash or money orders only...."

Good. I don't think it would be worth the $5 processing fee to me, but I can see how it could be a good option for some people.

Oooh! Great choices! I've been looking to get both Distant Thunder and Coffee Country myself! I love that RU has Jerabek roses. There's just something special about having roses from a breeder from my hometown! I only have two....Peggy M and Paul Jerabek. I can't wait to see your pictures of Brown Study.

I love Jerabek's roses. We have a dozen of them in the database. I tried to provide a link, but it doesn't work. If you search by characteristics in the Rose database and enter Jerabek in the hybridizer space, you'll find all 12.

Roses Unlimited is the best source for them. I have 11 and 9 of them came from RU.

I lost my Paw Maw when I moved it from the west side of my house to the main back yard. It wasn't a very strong rose, but it was from RU. I'm hoping that I've learned from my mistakes and all will live & thrive for me. One of my thickest roses happens to be Orange Velvet.. a climber I got from RU and it does amazingly well considering how badly I've abused it.. no water, half shade... but those canes are almost an inch thick!

Ooh! I think I have to have Photogenic. I'm in love. I purchased both of mine from Peter Schneider when I visited his garden the past couple summers.

What made you think of Orange Velvet, Toni? It's not a Jerabek rose.

Zu - Thought of Orange Velvet as that was the first rose I got from RU when you got me addicted to them. It's the only one to have survived my incompetence. And since this is a Roses Unlimited thread... plus with my brain functioning on only 3.5 hours of sleep, my thoughts tend to wander like a fly in a dungheap.

where in hell did THAT come from? Confused Blinking Rolling on the floor laughing
