Itis doesn't accept Viola septentrionalis which is a synonym of Viola sororia.

I know I'll have to move the pictures first to the right named entry, before proposing to delete the plant, is it possible to do a batch move as there are many to do one by one!

I'm not sure what the question is, Myriam. Viola septentrionalis is listed as a synonym now but someone could have just added it. It is accepted by ITIS as a synonym of V. sororia.

Well, that is strange Tee.. I really thought Viola septentrionalis has a separate entry in the database when I looked earlier!
I might have overlooked the fact that when I typed 'Viola septentrionalis' in the search box it directed me to Viola sororia var. sororia. Rolling my eyes.

I am not nearly finished cleaning up the genus Viola in the db as I have been adding a lot of new cultivars, but I will work on that soon. Smiling
