As a comment about Dusky Cranesbill (Geranium phaeum 'Samobor'), gardengus wrote:

This is a beautiful hardy geranium. It grows in the shade and has unique flowers, burgundy in color held above the leaves with a burgundy accent.
It self-sows here but is not a nuisance.

I garden in Zone 4b and maintain just two clumps of 'Samobor', cutting off the flowered stems before seed spread as I find this geranium VERY dangerous in its self-seeding. While most seedlings have the dark centred leaves some do not.

I have not noticed any of my seedlings lacking the dark ring of color but maybe I will need to look harder . Maybe I only notice the dark color ones .
Good to know it also self seeds in colder zones
