I planted the orange variety beside the more purple colored form. I also have a rose colored one. This one bloomed all summer. You can tell by the photo how many blooms each stalk had. It put up more stalks of blooms in the fall. This is the third year for these plants here. The bees and butterflies were always after these plants. I can't wait to see these again this summer!

Well, that one should bloom for me all summer as well then. That is one great-looking combo.

I managed to pick up a ton of Acapulco's this past fall.. Home Depot was having a major sale on the 1gal pots - 3 for $10 so I picked up like 30 or so (not really sure, kinda lost track). I put them on my walkway that I've been slowly building on my back yard.. one of these, a spirea Magic Carpet, one of these, a spirea, etc. It should look wonderful next summer! I can't wait!

I'm sowing more agastache under lights this year. Can't beat their performance in the garden.

I'm waiting to see if mine survive this past winter! My first year with Agastache.

Woofie - You should have NO problems. I have lots that I've completely ignored and they've come back year after year. I was "smart".. I planted some right next to my bedroom window so I could get the scent during the fall. What I didn't think about is the fact that I planted them right next to my bedroom window.. and they attract hummingbirds.. and hummingbirds are now next to my bedroom window.. and the cats LOVE hummingbirds... nothing quite like a herd of cats all in the window pawing & yodelling 'cuz they can't get to the birds that are less than 4' away from them...

That is one dazzling flowering plant. Purple and orange, hummingbird heaven.

Well, I lost quite a few of them. I'm guessing about.. 8-12 of them didn't make it through the winter. That sucks. The ones I planted in the front yard all croaked, but quite a few survived in the back. My Coronado Red almost all 100% died too. We had a late late hard freeze and it wiped out a lot of my stuff.

Well, at least one of my Agastache survived the winter. Haven't been able to find the one next to the Delphinium, but heh heh I really need to do some weeding. The other two have vanished tho. Oh, well. They were grown from seed, so I can always try again.

Thanks what I always do, buy more Agastaches every year!

Sometimes I loose them too.

I think that the reason why I lost the ones I lost was because there was a lot more moisture in that area and they were bogged down in ice rather than snowcover. Anyone ever try rooting agastaches from cuttings?
