Does anyone have pussy willow cutting for trade or postage? These stems do not have to be long. I want to root them and start new shrubs. Mine died many years ago...

For a trade, I have a bunch of solomon's seal roots that I did not have time to plant in my garden. They are potted in soil, to keep them from rotting.

I also have clivia plants, red mandevilla, purple lochroma(this plant bloomed in my basement under lights) , red, white, and fuschia christmas cactus.

I have a pussy will shrub that I could send you cuttings of. Mine never turned into a "tree" so I assume it was meant to be a shrub type. I will take a pic and send it to you if you would like.

I always love a good trade. LOL
How many starts do you want and how long do you want them to be? I have not ever taken cuttings of pussy willows before so need a little help here!

8-12 Inches are fine. They will root well and I can start new plants. They bend, so you can bend them to fit in a box, or even a padded
envelope.

Thanks for the trade/postage trade.

Can you start them in water or in soil?

Either way works, Teresa. They're usually super easy. Ours have rooted in a cuttings vase - and I've also just shoved twigs in the ground where our downspouts drain out.
I add a tiny bit of bleach to the vase of water if I start them indoors.

Well, that is just to SMART. Never thought of there but it would stay moister than other spots.

Have you made wreaths with them? Those are pretty. I didn't want to pay 25 or 40 tho.

I haven't, but it does sound really pretty. Smiling

My luck I'd rush too much and break off the pussies. Whistling
