I just got into Joel Thomas Polston's website to check out his 2013 introductions, since some of them were being displayed to our right on the Daylilies Forum page, and WOW! It is a trip through daylily paradise, especially for those who are into the toothy ones! His VAN HELSING is to die for, but the total treat for me was checking out his seedlings! Maybe over time I can manage a few of his out of this world daylilies...

We ordered his collection back in Sept. (I think it was). We won't get them until April sometime though.

Did you get the dips?

hmm No parentages listed. I always like to see what the parents are. Often tells me how the plant might do for me. I don't understand the new "trend" in not listing parentage.

Fred, no we did not since James wasn't doing dips at the time I keep going back and looking at them and I may just add some. I am leaning towards FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE since it's a dor. What has kept me from ordering them is the bud count, but I'm thinking the bud count has got to be better here than in Ohio

Kim won't tell me anymore if she likes/wants something or not (since she is the one doing dips) because she says I have gotten her enough (I don't think I have )


Well guess what.... I went ahead and ordered the dip collection (couldn't help myself). Kim actually told me she liked them all.

I will get a couple from you in the fall if they increase well, FOS may do me some good to keep some dormancy in my UFs. I wanted to order some myself but I have no where to put them until I pot some of this stuff in the fall. I had to put Larrys collection in my sons box, and "NO" I am not building any more boxes or beds for daylilies.

That's what I keep saying around here, but I got a feeling there's going to be more

Sorry but I just don't care for it when hybridizers offer plants that are only available with purchase of a collection!

I really don't either; and of course that's usually the only I really want when they do it that way.
