Mine does sprawl all over, but it has stayed quite short. It almost looks like a ground cover rose.

Yuk...don't its sprawly, octopus canes.

I thought it was just me. Some canes are upright, but some were leaning so I tied them to stakes. I really like the blooms. It is its first year so I figured that the canes had to "grow into" the blooms. Time will tell.

Well I forgave William for his sprawliness because he's been a fantastic
bloomer for me all summer,
although I did go dominatrix on him, tying him to a small trellis.
Still blooming despite 2 - 3 hard frosts!
Great fragrance, lovely blossoms and color!
