I have had robins all winter ( NOT 'normal', even had a hummingbird 'buzz' me last week Confused ) so, I am gonna have to look for 'different' signs....... ( maybe the new lambs due in March Shrug! ) Right now it's 20, though we get 'cold' temps (overnight, been mid 30s to 50, daytime), it generally doesn't 'last' like it has for the last 2 wks ( if I wanted frozen ground, I'd live on the East side, dang it Thumbs down ! )

I've been enjoying the chirping of the starlings - they congretate in the upper reaches of the cottonwood trees and absolutely fill the air with song. Wish they weren't such a nuisance...they are also tearing apart the insulation in the barn.

I wish I was better at bird identification. I had a whole flock of some sort of tiny drab bird swoop into my cherry tree, chatter for a bit, then swoop away before I could get a good look at an individual bird. Regardless, I'm taking it as a sign of spring, even though I had about an hour of snow flurries yesterday...

Not really a sign of spring, but we are getting flooded out here. This is an unclear photo of our back pond. The wooden bridge in the middle right is a footbridge over the creek inlet, usually sits 1-2 feet above the water. The lightish form behind the bridge is an almost full culvert, with water running over the road directly behind the culvert. This is about the wettest we've seen it.

BH how long have you lived in this place? It didn't seem like it was raining that hard, I guess I don't pay that close attention.
I hope all turns out well! Group hug
Great pond and all!
