Yes they do, you just need the vision to understand their language and you are one of the very few who I know can understand plant language. Thumbs up .
There was a study which I read a long time back and is now hazy. They were measuring electrical conductivity of plant tissue. One person injured the plant. Now when ever that particular person entered the room the plants conductivity spiked Shrug! . Call it sentient or not, up to you.

Arif.

Fascinating! Personally I send out lots of "oh how cute" and loving thoughts to my plants! I don't have anything scientific but they seem to grow well for me (who knows, they may shiver electrically when I walk into the room!) Hilarious! Lovey dubby

I have that book somewhere, I'll have to see if I can find it. They did all kinds of research on plants and their response to different stimuli.

My semps all had a big dose of love today. Two ladies showed up at my door wanting to see my semp collection. We had the most amazing time, with them oooing and awwwing all over them. I do believe I could see them perking up and following the ladies as if they were sunshine. Smiling

Hurray! Hurray! Twit, my day is now complete. You are here. You can't begin to know how much I've been thinking of you the last few days. Group hug
How are your semps doing?
And I see you have not lost your sense of humor. Rolling on the floor laughing

The sound of the oooing and awwwing should have made your plants very happy. Did they start preening? They do love appreciative sounds and attention. Nothing like a good pep talk. Greg what sort of conversation you hold with your plants, now that we know how Lynn shows her appreciation to them.

Arif.

Hurray! That's it Greg. 'The Secret Life of Plants'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T...
It was a fascinating read.

Arif, I do believe I could see them preening, especially when the ladies actually touched them. I should sneak out and see if they are talking about yesterday's visit. Whistling

Arif, mostly lots of oohing and awing , if they're growing in a funny/inconvenient way, I'll ask them to grow the way I want them too! Hilarious!

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing . Lynn, keep your heart young whatever the physical state or mental state. Heart should be sweet sixteen Lovey dubby . We forget that we make our own bed of Roses for the perfume and the bloom but forget the thorns that are a part and parcel.
Dowsing: I use copper L shaped rods, Ficus and Cannabis also work, ok how many know about dowsing principles and practice.
Greg, gardening is so peaceful and a person gets lost deep in thought while the bonding between the person and plant is complete. To an onlooker it seems that the plant and person are talking. Which in a way is correct. Now read the book and learn the proper way to say "Öhh look at that baby how cute, your mama must be pretty proud of you Lovey dubby ". The book teaches plant linguistics. Lynn should convert it to *PDF and put it up somewhere on ATP. People should learn.
Regards,
Arif
