I had such a wonderful time when I found a huge colony of them growing on shear rock walls. I was almost hyperventilating, needed a paper bag. Rolling on the floor laughing

Here's my Sedum 'Angelina' with a light frost on it. I love the way this stuff looks in the morning when it has frost. I think I caught it too late to get most of it, but you can see it on the tips still.

Thanks. That's one of my favorites too. I multiplied it under a small Japanese Maple tree. They look good together.

Thumb of 2013-03-11/jojoe/a563ea
I wonder how S. 'Blue Spruce & 'Angela' would look together???
I think i have enough to spread it around a couple places in my rock garden.I also got a new Semp.
Meet sempervivum 'Black'
She has 1 chick i can see & she is filling the pot up,nice size plant. Hurray! Lovey dubby

Nice Sempervivum 'Black!' I want one too. LOL.

I think the two sedums will look ok together. Angelina grows better here, but the Blue Spruce does do well and looks good all winter. Those two are my favorites in the winter.

Wow, great finds Jelinda. Blue Spruce will reseed readily, I've not had Angelina do that, but she starts easy from tiny pieces rooting quickly.

I took my gd (not quite 2) shopping today. Is she ever fun. Wish you all could have seen her in the plant department. As she catches her breath, then with wonder in her voice says 'Wow gamma, pretty'. Lovey dubby
I found 3 new plants at Fred Myers. Smiling

Thanks for sharing the gd touching moments with us. DH was blessed with gs's both born the same year. Don't know whether gs's can be that cute about plants.

I wish we had Fred Myers never even heard of them never the less seen one?? Sad

They also had Sedum 'john creech' i think is the correct name? I have seen them while looking at on-line nurseries, but these weren't what i was expecting or either i have mixed them up with something else.I thought they were a shorter, spreading Sedum that grew in the shade and wasn't fussy about the soil,i believe i read they would grow just about anywhere with shady & they take more water??

Anyone know anything about this Sedum?

Lynn, i know about grands, they are special and at that age so much fun!!! Lovey dubby

Bev,I don't know about cute, but my gs roots plants every year and is amazed by it!!!

My john creech is not in shade just partial and I treat them like any other sedum in terms of watering, propagation, etc.. May not take full sun but they are sure attractive in shape and color. I don't like the olive green colored stonecrop and I think th john creech looks sort of "friendlier" if you can imagine that.
