We never saw the sun today, lots of high fog here, in the low 40's but felt like freezing. Not so nice.

I want WARM SUN!!!!!! Crying Warmmmmmm. Sighhhhhh
Can you tell I'm cold right now. *Blush*

Okay I will post a few photos I took yesterday while photographing Olivette for Greg.

Opps, cross posted with three of you. That's what I get for leaving a post open for so long. *Blush*

Oh Holly, that must have been upsetting. Hope you didn't lose any of your travel and family photos.
I still have Angelina and love that semp. It is much more well behaved that Blue Spruce. Silver Stone is pretty well behaved also. Blue Spruce will take over everything here. Thank heavens they are shallow rooted and easy to pull up in areas you don't want them in.

Spring, I didn't know you lost photos also. Crying

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I can see the whole thing in my head Greg. How pitiful you must have looked. But happy once your found others were saving the lives of the innocent semps. It sure will be fun to watch them, to see how they change. Especially now that they know they are loved.

So Holly what is this "wall"? You can see my project for a "mini green wall" in the semp forum, I didn't realize how many people had different versions - love to hear about yours, sorry you lost photos/data - it can be almost traumatic! Especially if there's not another location for photos Sad
I was on the bus today and rode by this wall, so got off the bus to take a photo and wait for another bus (which ended up being just a minute behind, so only got to take 1 photo!)

This wall is on University of WA campus, its very cool! sadly though lacking semps

Only pic's that were really lost were mostly pic's of the gardens from last summer, Everything else is backed up. I still have them but they aren't the easiest to access, you can only pull up one pic at a time to look at it. I am hoping to down load it into a more user friendly file.
I do have just a few of last summers garden pic in the house computer but there aren't many.
gg5, It is a stone wall my DH Ric built. There is a very old section that runs straight across the front of the house and a much newer curved lower section. The old section was just filled with semps, sedums, and a few ferns. I removed almost all of them when we added the lower front wall and then replanted them. It has been filling in pretty nicely since then. This is a pic taken right after we rebuilt the wall and before much replanting was done. I looks much better now.

Sorry, I didn't realize I took so many photos, in the rain. *Blush*
I linked them from the database so it would be easy to click on the photo and go directly to the entry for that semp. Great way to see the changes some of them go through in a years time.
Hope you have fun with them. Smiling

Holly I so love that wall. Looking forward to seeing updated photos this spring/summer. That last photo is amazing with how much is has grown up. My favorite is the little semp with sparklers on stems/stolons. How sweet.

Hurray! Oh Julia, I am having plant shopping envy. Where did you get them?
And which hellebore did get? Wow, 40% off. Sighhhhh
And 50% off heuchera. Which of those did you get?
My favorite right now is H. 'Canyon Duet'. I stays in very low mounds of tiny leaves and amazing cloud of blooms.

Wish these could grow in the same conditions as the semps. They would be so pretty in the semp beds.

And your Fredegar is part of the 'Lord of the Rings' Series of semps. Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Fredegar')

I did order online from SMG today. My first order of semps for the year. I managed to order ones that weren't in the database yet. Hurray!
