I love to see peonies used in flowers arrangements. Please share your arrangements here or links to others' creations that caught your eyes. Here's one I saw on the web while looking for something else. It is so beautiful.

I think Nick did an awesome arrangement in his blog a year or two ago. @NMay Nick, can you please post the link to that blog? I can't find it.

@SulliO Sulli, can you share some inspiration for us with pics of your favorite peonies arrangements from past years? We all enjoy your beautiful arrangements posted in the Signs of Spring thread and love to see more. Thumbs up Thumbs up

I like the tip for the chicken wire. I was thinking of a layer of chicken wire on the bottom of a raised bed for strawberries in order to keep the rabbits out. Then I can save the trimmings for floral arrangements!

lol, Karen-I've got 30000 photos in my phone and probably half of them have peonies and the others dahlias.

I'll try to grab some that feature flowers I grew or more recent work.

I use chicken wire as my primary "frog" in just about all my vases, I can't say I'm no foam because sometimes you have to use it for event work but I try to not use it outside of that.

I'll pull some photos together soon!

Wow, that is amazing and original, Sulli! I have never thought of these colors and textures together in an arrangement but it is stunning. It is like a fresh take on a Victorian look! THanks. Please feel free to share pics whenever you make a new arrangement. Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up

thank you all! the iris and peony blooming together are very fun to play with.

Hiya, when I'm designing an event I always start with the foliage, it's the most important element and makes the flowers shine. When I'm cutting from home, it's a bit more challenging. I don't want to take too much off my shrubs and trees which are immature so I have to cut strategically. My husband notices if I've cut too much 🤣

Littlebin...wow huge blooms!

Sulli...Love the arrangement! Where did you get a lupine with that color???? Did you ever figure out the iris from Shreiners? Bet if you sent them a picture, they would tell you, maybe after this busy month.

Annie, the lupine is Westcountry Salmon, the top 1/3 of a bloom stalk. It's really a gorgeous plant and my friend and I are going to try basal cuttings to multiply our stock. We each got 3 before our supplier ran our. It's sterile so has to be cuttings.

I have one unknown iris in this design but the Schreiners id'd the one in my video that I loved as Toucan Tango. I can't say I loved the photos as much. I ordered two of the blue iris they sent me though in the arrangement I made with the bouquet they sent me. I'll post it here since we're talking about it.

Beautiful, Sulli! Do you use anything in the vase to hold up the irises?

Just a single layer of chicken wire since the stems are so large, it's my preferred frog while I try to figure out if I can make them with ceramic coated wire for each of my vases.

Heading out to a tree wholesaler to see if I can start to round up some trees and shrubs for these garden beds, they're full of flowers but need some structure and height!

It's a magical week here where peonies collide with bearded iris and finally my ranunculus are blooming too.
I made the bowl too, it's ironic that a good floral design should overshadow the vessel but I like to know it's there!

I agree They are superb! I love the color palette of the second and third one so much! I have never seen arrangements of flowers in these colors that are so well done. Thank you so much for posting these beautiful arrangements, Sulli. Are those beige roses in the second arrangement? if not roses, what are they?

thanks Karen, there are some beige/nude ranunculus and there is one Koko Loko rose in the 3rd pic. They are actually all the same design, just different backdrops and detail shots.
