Dave,

Why will the my photos upload in a thread and when clicked on, they enlarge and show the full picture with the option to arrow to the next photo, BUT if I upload them in a Blog and/or Gardening Idea, you can not click on them and view them bigger or look at them as an album group

I thought if I upgraded my Mac Tiger to Snow Leopard that it would help, but it did not. I use Safari for internet.

Thanks
Joanne

As per Sharon's advice I downloaded Firefox and everythings works fine now. I tested the photos in my blog and it seems good now.

This is just a half-baked thought that occurred when I saw a long string of photos in a forum thread.

If you ever run out of m ore important things to do (maybe Winter 2099), consider a variation on lightboxes.

Lightboxes with captions.

Maybe, after upload starts, a dialog could pop up offering to add a 60-character caption. Then, while someone is waiting for the image to upload to ATP, he or she could type in a name or comment for the image.

I Like that idea

So many pics get added with no captions and this would certainly make it easier. Hurray! Hurray!

I consider the post itself to be the caption.

I usually do add text above each photo, but not everyone does. Of course, if they don't add text IN the post for a caption, they probably wouldn't add a caption. So I understand not adding such a feature.

(Unless it was practical to pull in the file name at the same time as as the photo is uploaded. But that might be different for every browser and OS.

I'm curious - in my browser, three lightboxes always fit side-by-side as long as I put no more than two spaces between each. Is that true for every browser?

When I add captions in the text of the post, I try to make each caption fit 1/3rd of the width (in my browser, with my zoom and my screen resolution).

Is that line-up of text with photos likely to be conserved across most browsers, or will it just be random depending on screen res and zoom?

I like to use the photos from the database when posting in threads, it gives so much information and by clicking it goes right to the plant entry.

Would be cool though, to have the ability to have the photo with the name and a tiny bit of information.

I hadn't thought of "borrowing" photos from the database, when posting to forums.!
