A cursory look around shows at least four common names used for this plant. There are undoubtedly more.

No, I said it was not used in the data base, no need for a Google search! I already researched it before I asked you to add it. It is similar to the other hybrids called 'Wine Red' , 'Plum Beauty', Sky King' and 'Royal Blue' all having the common name of Iochroma. Look it up your self if you do not believe me!

At this point, the Plant Database has very little information at all on any of the Iochromas. I'm sure a lot more information will be added to them over time, including various common names the plants go by.

If you look throughout the database, you will see as Kent said "Most plants are known by several common names". Since a person may purchase a plant from PW, a very popular nursery vendor, and then use a search with that common name, it is perfectly acceptable to include it along with Iochroma. That way it is included in a search with either option.

Confused, what is misspelled?

Susan thought the website was spelling it "Lochroma" because she thought the capital "i" was a small "l."
