Have anyone grown these from seeds? I got some in a trade but nothing germinated.

I haven't tried them yet but I just bought some. I am going to winter sow them. Probably will put out this weekend.

According to T&M Seed Starting Database, sow on the surface - they need light to germinate and 4 weeks of cold below 40 degrees then germinate with temperatures around 50 - 60 degrees .. expect irregular germination. Winter Sowing seems like a good option.

Piksihk is zone 9 .. here is what I'd do, I'd sow them in a pot that can be put in a plastic bag then stick in the fridge for a few weeks then take them outside and keep in the shade .. leave the plastic bag on so squirrels & such can't get to them.
