~ Editing my original post; the plant in question is Ming Aralia (Polyscias fruticosa)

Ok folks ... I need help again! I've had this little tree for a long time; I almost lost it to a freeze a few years ago and although it's nothing of it's former self I managed to prune off the dead branches and keep it alive but I can't remember it's name and I can't seem to find it in my picture folders. I know it must be there somewhere unless it was lost when my laptop crashed a few years ago.

I don't like getting old and forgetful. I kept thinking "China Doll" (Radermachera) but nope, it's something else, a common and easy one I'm sure ... but my brain just isn't getting it! I sure hope these photo's will ring a bell with someone. Excuse the not so great pictures, pollen is covering everything on my porch and I'm getting ready to get the hose and wash everything down once again!

Thank you Purple ... after you ID'd it I knew immediately you were correct and I knew that I had photo's on my laptop somewhere, so I searched and searched and finally found it stored in another file folder. I wonder how it got there?

Has it ever been repotted?

LOL, that's how it looked back in 2008. It was hit hard by two consecutive cold winters in 2010 and 2011 and I had to chop off a lot of dead wood. It hasn't been given proper care in awhile so it's now this one skinny little stem. I need to be a better plant caretaker and try to get it back to looking more presentable.

You're welcome. Look at it next to the smashing Crotons. How pretty! Your little tree looks fine, but the pot looks like it might be a little small for the amount of roots that would be good for a plant that size but you probably know that. Looking at your beautiful plants, I'm sure you don't need much if any guidance.

May I ask what the lovely giant plant inside the screen is? Just behind/to the left of the Polysicas?

The plant in the screen porch is a Cordyline (Ti plant).
