Sure, you can even enjoy our brief "sunny season". I think I'm up to 4-5 days in a row with NO RAIN.

P.S. You missed the "heat wave" in my town, where it went OVER 75 F!

Then there was the unseasonal "May 6" when it touched 80 F, and they were fainting in rows from the "heat".

Just reached 100F now..double gasp! Blinking I wish there are more emoticons to use for this kind of temps and another day like this tomorrow, before it slides down a bit for Sunday. The time of the year where I am glad most of my plants are succulents and drought tolerant plants..but on the edge for my orchids though.

thinking of ice cream, rainshower, oceanside, cool breeze, ice, freezer, alaska, canada.. Hilarious!

Zuzu are you a bit cooler where you are, or is it the same? One thing I like about Seattle is that even when it gets what we call hot, there is very often a breeze of some sort, after years of living here, when I go back east or south, it feels stifling, with little or no breeze. I know I used to live in that environment, but I can't believe I was able to function very well...I've become a weather wimp! nodding I tip my hat to you.

The thing that's great about Sebastopol is that the nights are always cool. The projected high for tomorrow is 90 degrees, but the projected low for tomorrow night is 55 degrees. Next week we'll be back in the 80's and the nighttime temps will be back in the 40's. It's easier to put up with hot days when the nights are cool.

Totally agree with that! I love that about Seattle too, but in summer our nights don't typically get that low, I don't think (not 40's) that sounds coldish!
Sticking tongue out Your roses probably love that though! Hurray!

It does sound coldish, I agree, but our ranch-style homes here aren't very well insulated, so the heat during the day keeps the house fairly warm halfway into the night, and then the subsequent cold in the second half of the night keeps the house cool the following day. It's actually quite efficient. I only know a couple of people here with air conditioning in their homes, and I don't think many of the businesses in town have air conditioning. Most people don't have central heating either. I do, but my furnace stays off from March to November.

Another scorching day starting..gave all the plants another good shower..hope it helps cool them down. Thankful for the breeze coming in, though it is not cool, anything to make it feel airy is welcome. Temps started to go down yesterday at about 8pm but it just hovered around 87F, still quite warm and no air movement at all.

My little garden gets a slow bearing down from the sun being shadowed by our house in the morning but as the sun shifts right now I see that the sun hitting the plants already register at 105F ugh! But I think ambient temps are hovering at 98F.
About 3 hours of full high sun then the tree canopies are my shade, but it will continue to sizzle! Another hot hot day inland Blinking

Looking forward to the cool down this Sunday!!!
