I know, it's hardy. But we had one night of freeze and it looks as if they are dead. Should I trim them all the way down, or just some pruning? Any helpful tips would be appreciated!!! I need these to grow!
Btw...I planted fourtoFive foot white bougainvillea at the end of this last August. They have been green, blooming and looking gorgeous until this happened.
Thanks a bunch! Confused

wow! you got a freeze in San Diego! That's unusual. I would wait until I was sure it wouldn't happen again and then cut them down and try not to let them get too much water while it is cold. I cut them down to a foot tall almost every year and they come back thicker and with more blooms so the pruning won't hurt them. I don't know about the frost though.

Extranjera, thanks for your feedback! I will definitely cut them back and post some pics when they come back (hopefully)! Thanks again for your time!
Thumbs up
