Miss Vicky! How are you doing? So glad that you posted so purdies.. that Belle de Crecy is gorgeous & I can almost smell that Honey Sweet. Or maybe I'm just smelling my lunch. Anyways, you promised us an update on your procedure & how it went!

Zuzu - It's my goal to have half the roses you do. Maybe I'll do a midnight run to California & steal yours? Well, it'd take me a few more hours than that to just get to your place, plus you probably don't have your garden lit up at night, so it be hard to dig up the right ones at night... think Pebblegoose would help w/the digging?

Gave myself an early Valentine's Day gift. It's an unmarked mini from Home Depot, but I emailed the grower (a local grower here in CO) to see if they know the name. It's a very beautiful rose, I love it. Salmony pink in color that fades yellowy-orange. And best of all, it's scented! Just wish it had a name...

That's a pretty one Toni, my kind of coloring!

Our 36th anniversary today, all I can manage is to maybe hobble out for a dinner, wish I could go shopping. Even grocery shopping would be fun!

Just got the David Austin Ltd Handbook of Roses 2013 in the mail today Shipping cost to Canada seem a bit high, but if you get the 5th rose free, then not so bad. Looks like the roses are shipped from Texas

Back in '03, I had my right foot in a full cast from toes to knee. In '01, while moving from NY to CO, while packing up my apartment, I slipped on the stairs (4 flights) and ended up ripping both Achille's Heels. I didn't realize I did that much damage & still ended up not only driving cross country, but lived for another 18 months in, well, agony! The podiatrist yelled at me for a few minutes, then casted me up. I was in a cast for 6 weeks and it was a pain in the patookie, I'll tell ya! Bad thing is that I suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome, which means that I can have random leg "twitchies" (jerks, almost like epilepsy) when I'm relaxing (never awake & alert, but usually at night when I'm chillin' on the couch or in bed). And so my DH abandoned me after the 4th or 5th time I slammed him in the leg w/my cast as he sleeps on my right. I didn't *mean* to wack him.. After the cast came off & the podiatrist claimed it mostly healed, he put me in walking boot on my left leg as he didn't want me 100% laid up. That was even worse as it's soooo tempting to take off the boot but you have to keep it on... bleh!

Joanne - Luscious, aren't they. And when you go to a nursery & they have a lot of DAs it smells SOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

My hubby had foot surgery just this past July, his mildly rolled ankle wouldn't heal mostly due to years worth of construction. The tendon was repaired and a bone fused. He was in a cast 3 months and then in a walking boot another 3 months, now it's my turn to be waited on. He has been out crabbing a couple times a week, last night we shared 4 between us, yummy! Dinner out tonight and again tomorrow with our friends who share the same anniversary date (and she shares the same B-day with me too)

Yes, I know, I am old! Just turned 54, grand baby #3 will be in here in 5 weeks, #1 is already 14! Yikes! Time is flying way too fast!

But you'd never know it to look at her. She's a youthful cutie, full of energy and good cheer.

Not old at all. I would love to be 54 again. I am 65.

I'd be full of energy & good cheer if I lived in paradise too...
