KAMasud said: I tip my hat to you. Maybe not you but I can see the difference. It seems I can only see the banner from you on my netbook. The technical differences between machines I know. With cameras, huum full frame or APSc, sensor size maybe. Can I ask you the model and make of camera and the type of lens used please? The rest I can solve myself.
Regards,
Arif.

Arif, my current camera is a Sony Cyber-shot/DSC-HX100V, before that I had a Sony Cyber-shot/1080, both have fixed lenses with zoom and macro lenses. Big Grin

I tip my hat to you. Good. Now I can look up their sensor size then work out the why. Thank you very much.

Blinking DSC-HX100V is not exactly a sneeze is it?
"The most obvious of these changes include a 16MP 'Exmor R' back-illuminated CMOS sensor, 30x optical zoom and full HD 1080p video capture". " 27-810mm equivalent zoom lens and a compact camera-sized 1/2.3" CMOS sensor." Look at the zoom due to this small sized sensor plus it is a macro also. " 11 elements in 10 groups (including 1ED glass element and 1aspheric element". Look at the classification of the lens.
Rolling on the floor laughing Beats most of the mainframes over two years old plus most of the separate lens available.

Arif, it is a very good camera. Hilarious! DH gave it to me as a Christmas gift last year. I still have a lot to learn about it, just seems I never have the time and it is so easy to use it on auto. Whistling

It is a very good camera and I can understand exactly what you mean by having a lot to learn. Very versatile and quite difficult to remember all the digital controls. Shooting in auto mode is a good way to start. Aperture priority mode, wide open good light gathering qualities and for your garden photographs will do a lot of good. It has a small sensor, smaller then full frame and APSc so not exactly wide angle that 28 becomes about 30 on this sensor size but wide enough. Plus macro telephoto, enjoy its capabilities.

Arif.
