Thr red is from a batch of seeds I bought from a fellow named Anucha. I'll cross it with the other double red(s) that I have if they ever bloom together. Seeds available in a year or so. These plants are SO SLOW!!!! I guess that's how they live so long.

I'm still waiting for blooms on the seeds I got from Mike and planted last May. I see buds on one of them but they are changing. Patience is not one of my virtues Whistling

They take years and years to open, Adenium buds do. And it's so hard to not pull on them, even tho' we know they will tear. I blow on them, sometimes that helps them along when they are starting to open. But forcing them too much always backfires. A little help is fine, and good. But force is rewarded with rips and ugly bruises. Wow!

What colors are you hoping for?

Hum, I don't have a photo, but that beautiful triple red faded badly in sunlight. I have another one tho', that has great color, but needed more boron, the petals are floppy and deformed. Owell! Maybe next time!

This MONSTER is coming around every evening laying eggs on not only my plants, but on the BUDS. The orange fuzzy caterpillars are getting rid of a lot of my flowers for me. erghhhhhhhh Oleander moth.

I bought this whole grafted plants in 3 gal. pot.
Lots of flower buds and it came with one pod.
First time see a pod up close and personal.

How long does a pod ripe?

Thank you for all the help.

It takes months for the pod to ripen this time of year.Be sure to put some tape around the middle of each side.If it pops open you will lose the seed.
Those are beautiful blooms. Thanks for posting. Is this a sample of whats available in south Florida nurseries?

Very pretty flower! You can see the pod decide to open, when it finally does. The seam turns brownish and begins to split. Mine haven't popped, they take a day or two to open. Man, slow slow slow with everything! I put half a plastic bag over mine, and use tape to close the gap underneath. Leaving plenty of air circulation. I like the pod to stay on the plant as long as possible.

From pollination to seed is usually five months. Hmm, you have a double pod, looks like. Good fun, maybe 100 seeds!

Thank you both JT, and Melissa, on how to take care on the pods so i don't lose the seeds when it open.

JT, i guess so. Lowe's and Home Depot near always have adenuim plants for sale.

The nursery where I bought these has many of 3 gal grafted double for $39.99(different colors) but these is the only one has pod.

3 gallon doubles! They would be $150 here. People don't know much about Adeniums here, they allwant an exotic white (single) I don't believe they even know there is such a thing as a double. I just went to our Agriculture fair and there were only two plants, both pinks. I shoulda had a booth! Next year for sure!

And, hahaha Rolling on the floor laughing Here's a photo of that beautiful red at the beginning of this thread. It didn't age well! Some do, some don't
