I have a green NOID that is huge. Please recommend some larger Semps. I need some that aren't mostly green. I'd like red, purple, etc. or some with the darker tips. No runts wanted. LOL.

Red Lion, Rouge, Saga, and Spanish Dancer are some of my larger ones. Some do have green in them also.

What are you calling huge Clint? Measuring across the rosette? Here a few, none are small, any where from 5 to 9 inches across. Most still have a time during the year when they may be green. If you click on the photos it will take you to the database entry an more photos to see the color changes.

This one is about 4 to 5 inches across.

Lynn - Those are beautiful! I meant the single rosette. I'm trying to find varieties with the largest rosettes possible. Ginormous! LOL. Those colors are what I'm looking for too! I love the reds and purples. I need more color in the winter around here, especially. That 'Fuego' has been jumping out at me for about a year now asking me to get one!

Winter is a pretty difficult time for color. I still don't know what you think ginormous is? And yes, that is the way we measure, just the largest single rosette. Not the entire clump.
As Chris said, many of these may be green in the winter. There are some that may stay darker in the winter. Many of the hueffelii are dark colored year round.
heuffelii 'Aprache' is a larger one.

Lynn - I really appreciate your recommendations. The ones with year-round color impress me too. I looked at the database and was impressed with 'Fuego'.

Fuego was my very first one to bowl me over with it's color. I will never forget that year. It was also my largest semp. What a color show it put on that year.

I love to see these when they get mature and larger. They look like works of art. Thanks for posting those. That is exactly the type I am looking for!

Twilight Blues really surprised me, I had no idea it would get that big. And it was just a tiny offset when it came to live here.
