All good targets of opportuntity... heck, I'm sitting here looking at my own light fixtures now. lol

I liked the looks of Gregs' square pot too Bev. Wasn't sure if it was maybe one of those light shades.

Oh, Kristi, now you make me wonder...I thought it looked too dark for a fixture for light. The one I have is a moulded heavy plastic that looks very contemporary. Maybe Greg can tell us...

Hi girls...yes they are light fixtures, glass and heavy and I know Bev and Kristi, stop jumping up and down...they're really cool! That's why it looks kindof "glowy" in the photos. In the first photo at the top of this thread you can see 2 of them empty (I have 3)
Kristi, I think I misunderstood your question earlier regarding the "foot pads" - yes mine all sit right on the ground, so I'm having to do something to keep them up, I have a couple of them tipped sideways, but this is temporary...I like the footpad idea! Just have to find the right thing. Again, since I have hardware cloth, I may just cut pieces and have the planters sit on them, it won't show and it won't be attached to the planters...hmmm thinking Whistling

Oh good, I don't have to feel bad for keeping it then!! Nope not plastic - glass! Firm, reliable and yes...probably breakable! Rolling my eyes.

Thanks guys, but it wasn't my idea - now I don't remember who thought of it...Spring or someone commented on it, I'd feel poorly taking credit for something someone else suggested...I'll wait a bit, and see if anyone comes forward, then I'll post it Hilarious! Whistling

I planted up a pot I found last fall at a yard sale. Not sure I will leave it planted this way. I paid 75 cents for it. It is about the size of a one gallon glass jug.

I did a light fixture! But Greg, feel free to write up about it! It looks like you've really taken it and run with it!

Yes, it is one of the small daffs, 'Tete-a-Tete'. I think I will like the yellow blooms with the purple container. And are they prolific when making new bulbs.

Lynn ~ that is a neat container and a delightful planting!

I am curious ~ as deep as that pot is, did you fill it completely or use a filler in the lower portion?

Hi Kristi. I filled it with soil, because of the bulbs. I wanted them to have plenty of depth.

It seems to be high fired clay, so I think I can leave it out year round. We'll find out this next winter.
