During winter vacation in 2011 I found (in the luggage) a bag of irises, which I had dug up from the cottage on Cape Cod where we were away in 2010. I planted them that spring and they bloomed the following year. That's how tough irises are.

They just weren't quite open yet so had those 'sold out' on everything it seems.

Daylilies do that too pirl, both are tough plants!!

Yes, I've had both hostas and daylilies left unplanted. They were iced over and snowed upon one winter but they were the first to get green in spring.

Received Burgard Iris Farm order today. HUGE rhizomes and even a bonus iris with just a four-Iris order.


Received Rainbow Iris Farm order today. Three of five ordered were substituted, but I already knew they had quite a bit of loss from rains; I did get the most important two on the list; and the Iris they gave me as substitutes are wonderful, plus they sent a bonus.


Received Exline Iris Garden order today. Multiple rhizomes sent for several of the Iris ordered, and two multiple rhizome bonuses.

Pleasants Valley Iris Farms is experiencing extraordinary challenges at the moment. A large tree fell on their working space necessitating clean up and rebuild before they could ship, then they were part of a mandatory wildfire evacuation. Despite these hindrances, they still managed to communicate my order status. I place a lot of importance on communication and appreciate their efforts. Never ordered from them before and--naturally--haven't received this one, yet, but I have definitely put them on my thumbs-up list.
