Looking so, so, so good! Especially all of your arbors. The arbor and obelisk photo is just dreamy.

I love the shot of the baby cardinals! Any chance of getting a shot of the parents?

thanks zuzu, i got the obelisk for 30% off at hobby lobby. dh kept threatening to cut back mme issaac p if i didnt tie it up some how. i had been planning to do something with it but i have no problem stepping around/over/under rose canes... i guess he got hooked one to many times. im happy with how it turned out. sometimes bigger dosnt = better with rose bushes.. i was hoping it would looks sort of big and archy and floppy but i like the tight tied up look with this rose better.

You two NOID climbers are just stunning! If we knew the names, there'd be a run on any nursery offering them.

wow, didn't know that mom was red, too. Only saw 1 cardinal in the 3 years I lived in NNY.. but then again, I didn't spend a lot of time looking at birdies.. when I had free time, I spent it looking at water for fishies (I fished a LOT in NNY). Sometimes, the weaker baby gets tossed... that's the way it is in the wild. But they do look a LOT like my baby canaries!

Wish I had a place for an obelisk like that one.. I have roses that could go on it, but no place to put 'em. Very beautiful! Smiling

Does it have a scent? Paradise doesn't have a scent. But that's a beautiful rose!

The more pictures you post of it, Dana, the more I'm convinced it's Orchid Masterpiece. Take a look at the HMF photos of the climbing and non-climbing varieties and you'll see a couple that are dead ringers for your rose.

the first pic is the mom.. shes more brownish red the dad watches the nest too and hes the one in the last bird pic. i am the only one on the street that left up the hedge instead of putting a privacy fence up.(the hedges work just fine and are free.. and didnt get blown over by ike like half my neighbors..) so i get tons of chicks mostly robins cardinals and those black birds with iridescent blue heads. i know what they are i just cant think of it now.. i know they are a pest in lots of places.. much to my neighbors dismay i refuse to cut them down.. he said birds are rats with wings.. i was infuriated .. i was calm and said well i like them.. thats why i leave the ivy on the house theres a milion chickadees or finches (dont know what they are)nesting in there.. next day i went out and there was a huge bird poop splattered all over the side of the car.. i laughed out loud ..

zd finally bloomed in almost complete shade.
