I just ordered BRIGHDE from Dee.
It has Aurora Sea in its parentage.Too funny when I noticed I planned to plant it next to Aurora sea. They should make great companions.

Jo Ann those are beautiful pictures, I added Devil Baby to my want list for this spring I would love to see a clump of that and your landscaping is Outstanding in the picture of Banded Tiger.

Tom Thanks I looked up Cat's eye this morning before going to work it is one of Paul's..great color I will definitely have a spot for it.

Mary Ann Spring can't come soon enough, our weather has been beautiful this week and we have no snow cover it gave me a chance to walk the beds and check for winter damage now if we could just fast forward about six weeks, then I can go play in the dirt again and I should be able to get some current pictures of new growth. I had to dig all these last year and move them after my battle with the scorch. I am starting to get a little anxious noticed the buds swelling just a little on my trees and Azaelas those are very good signs Big Grin

Polly Thank you for sharing those pictures I would love to have any of them but the one that is a must have for me is Cliche that is a awesome color. I would like a large clump of that right beside Bluebeards Ghost.

Lucy Thank You I just ordered Black Lightning from Superstition from your photos.

Sassafrass I agree with Jo Ann the beards on Cimarron Rose are neat.. Great Pictures

Paul Here are some pics of the different berms from this spring, The last picture is of the newest bed it is 2 yrs old this spring and was the worst to build of all of them, because I decided to make it square on un level ground and I did not realize how much the grade dropped until we were already into the construction of it, this one was twice the work I thought it would be and took 80 tons of dirt to get a level iris bed to work with.

Just stunning Brad! I think the beautiful mixes of shrubs and conifers make such a lovely backdrop and the allium compliment the blooms so well too, reminds me of Schreiner's beds.

Sue Thank You !! I sure wish I had Oregon's growing conditions a few years back I bought 25 or so 6" pots of Lupines just to try to get a big clump like there beds have and I think maybe 2 survived the winter and bloomed so I gave up on it but I am always looking for companion plants that bloom at the same time. I got the idea of using different Conifers after visiting Paul Blacks gardens at his home, I was shocked at how many different colors and textures they come in and they provide about the only winter interest outside this time of year, I have a couple that turn bright gold in winter so I look forward to them every year. The beds close to my house I use for Roses and Tropicals so I have something different blooming all the time.

Tom Thanks I hope you can make it by this spring ,I am looking forward to showing you my gardens so far winter has been kind to us the way they are looking now we should have some nice blooms.

Jo Ann Thank You for the great pictures Tiny Dancer has beautiful colors, please keep the pictures coming my list is getting bigger Smiling I would like to see some from your want list for this year if you can find some pictures.

Leon Hurray! Thank You for sharing those awesome pictures and clump shots, I like them all The beards on the last one Yahtzee Wow !! Stunning, I will be looking to buy it somewhere this year. Thanks for the compliment on my beds very rarely does it feel like work it is more relaxing than anything, I enjoy playing in the dirt Smiling as long as it is not 100 plus degrees for weeks straight like last year was in July. I think i spent most of my time just moving sprinklers around to keep everything alive.

Arlyn Thanks How has the weather been in Illinois have you had much snow lately to help with the drought ?

Vi Thank You I wish I could find more conifers locally I would have them everywhere especially if I could get some of the west coasts options in them.

Mary Ann The flower in the picture is Drinks At Sunset by Barry Blyth it is one of my all time favorites and always one of the first to bloom for me. I will have plenty to share if you would like some of it.
