And the weeds are DEFINITELY ramping up, too. But, without further ado, let's see what the camera caught this morning. We got LOTS of rain last night, so the blooms (what wasn't beat to snot) are definitely sparkly. But, not like Twilight-vampire sparkly.

In the mini bed, the hyssops & agastaches are taking over. But, here and there, there's some roses that are peeking out. Here's Bees Knees, courtesy of Tom's Miniatures.

Next is some Burlington Roses.. this is Sweet Arlene. Love this rose!

(Guess there's a limit of 2 images per post?)

Here's Ring of Fire. Wow, talk about a bright rose! Too bad it's the size of a nickel!
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/94953b

Here's some of the hyssops & agastaches, as mentioned before. And mums. And a red NOID from Walmart. And some empty buckets. And more mums. Oh, and did I mention the MUMS??? They'll be in full bloom in about 3 weeks from now. There's some delphiniums fading in the front and columbines on the right. There's actually 2 non-blooming bigger rose bushes in this mess (Heinrich Karsch & Magma).

I love Sweet Arlene too! I think the suggested limit is two pictures across. I don't think it matters how many you add vertically.

Rise N Shine is such a happy yellow rose!
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/98ed19

Ernie is a new one for me.. both of these are Tom's Miniatures.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/09e621

Across the way, is Tequila Sunrise/Sunset/sunsomething!
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/c1d0cd

Next to Tequila Sunblahblah is a Perfume Tiger. I love this natural bouquet! Not bad for a Home Depot rose! :)
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/79ad0d

Then, Montezuma is finally going strong. Only took the poor thing 2 years. (I messed with the aperture of the camera to get a non-washed out image)
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/2334b3

Down from Montezuma is Circus, new for this year.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/8d2519

And down from there is Sunsprite, also new for this year.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/e0150d

Up & Over from Sunsprite is Oranges and Lemons, which is still mostly oranges and no lemons.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/8835df

And, introducing Blue Skies. I adjusted the aperture for this one as well.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/651474

You can see how small the poor bush is. I don't even feel right calling it a rose bush. Sad This is a RU rose that's rated for zone 6, but had winterkill down to the ground, so it grew 100% from roots this year.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/b9f2dd

Next to Blue Skies and above Oranges & Lemons 2 roses up is Mardi Gras. So dependable. My first rose from '08.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/efcade

Keep going up & there's my Ruby Ruby. I think I'll just leave her there.. I wasn't expecting some of my hyssops to get as big as they have in my mini bed.

Then, going up the row is Sunny Delight. I tried to find happy yellows this year to offset all the "blue" I got. Didn't work, I'm still addicted to the blue roses.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/abe7e6

Keep going up and there's a RedGold. Too bad doesn't stay this pretty for long.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/dc3586

Where the aspen tree used to be is now my birdbath (that I have yet to see a bird using). Surrounding the old stump are 5 roses, all in the blue family. Two are blooming. This one I know is Blue Girl.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/986c0b

I *think* that this is Singing in the Rain. I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to dig around & find it's tag.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/873fd5

And, I believe this is the last photo of the front yard, Picante. Nice bodybag rose from last year. I highly recommend it.

In the back yard, the weeds have officially taken over. Damned yard, I can weed and weed and weed.. I swear that the weeds just drink RoundUp like it's KoolAid.

However, in my "pond" area, I do have some roses blooming. The only ones going right now is an Heirloom and some Sterling Silvers. So here's the Heirloom. Much lighter than should be.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/35da03

And one of the Sterling Silvers.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/b95ed0

And another Sterling Silver.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/346640

And yet another Sterling Silver. I love these roses.. I honestly do.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/628869

Blueberry Hill, what can I say, totally awesome for a King Soopers (Kroger brand grocery store) rose. Just buried in weeds. :(
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/df4bd7

Before I messed with the aperture for the front yard, I had taken some pics in the backyard. This is a very washed out Charisma.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/055c1b

And a No ID. I got this from a neighbor 3 years ago. It's a beautiful rose, definitely a repeat bloomer to beat the band, just not in this picture.
Thumb of 2010-08-10/Skiekitty/5b5d90

And after I messed with the exposure time. BIG difference. But last picture of today's parade.

yea, great time to be a grasshopper, a snake, or a weed. Sad Next weekend, though, is Work In The Back Yard NO MATTER WHAT!. I have to get that mulch out of my driveway and onto the roses. I'm expecting a later summer and no frosts until later October, early November (that's what it feels like, a later summer because summer took forever to get going) but I just really want to get that mulch out of my driveway!!

As I mentioned in a different post (I think the Pickering), my Molineux survived! So I'll be getting pictures of her, Hot Princess, maybe Stephen's Big Purple (if a decent bloom), maybe Sir. John Bethelem (sp?).. something like that while we're on the road. I'll have my netbook & aircard, so I should be able to post between Raton NM and Santa Fe, NM. Don't know about the coverage between Trinidad, CO & Raton, NM.

As promised, here are some pictures taht I took last night. I'm actually typing this as DH is driving.. we're somewhere between Raton NM & Las Vegas NM. Not bad signal w/my air card.

Anyways, here Molineux. I apologize if the picture looks crappy, with my screen in the sun, I really can't adjust the brightness or whatever is wrong. Looks like we're coming up on Maxwell, NM.
Thumb of 2010-08-13/Skiekitty/5c925b

That sits in front of my Hot Princess. Both of these are RU roses I believe.
Thumb of 2010-08-13/Skiekitty/c64d7b

Up a ways at the beginning of this bed is Barbara Streisand. LGS rose.
Thumb of 2010-08-13/Skiekitty/8f9beb

Next to Barbara is Enchanted Evening. This one has been kinda stingy this year with only 1 flush. But that's probably my fault 100%.
Thumb of 2010-08-13/Skiekitty/9ba3c8

Forgot to put in Shockwave, which is next to Hot Princess. LGS rose.
Thumb of 2010-08-13/Skiekitty/bce286

Last picture for this set is a beginning bud of Kordes' Brilliance. I don't think that this picture does it justice, really. But it really is very coral-colored. Palatine rose.
