Out of Africa, a hybrid tea, is the oddest rose ever. It hardly ever blooms and you never know what color it's going to be. Take a look at the two pages of photos on HMF and you'll swear they're pictures of five or six different roses.
This is Prominent, the most vivid rose in my garden by far. It's a grandiflora, and for some reason, HMF says it's from 28" to 3' tall. Mine's at least 7 feet tall.
Rainbow Sorbet is appealing to people, but it's absolutely irresistible to gophers. I once had three of them that didn't last even half a year before they were gobbled up. This fourth one is in a gopher cage and the ground all around the cage is always furrowed. It's driving them nuts not to be able to get to it.
