So, I was in San Antonio in early July for work. I like to call around to local nurseries wherever I am to see what I can score on out of town. Found a place that had lots of Jungle Jacks for sale. As I was looking over the plants, trying to make that hard decision of "how many more do I need?" I saw a broken branch laying on the table. Very small, about 4". I picked out a couple plants and took the branch with me to the checkout. Asked the cashier if he minded me taking it along with my purchase. After a brief inspection, he said "what the hell, it's too small to root, have at it". When I got home I noticed that it was pretty damaged from whatever happened to it, so that 4" branch turned into about 1.5" tip. I never attempted to graft something that small before, but I felt like why not? Here are the results.

Hurray! good save there Jason! The size you got is almost similar to bud grafting. Well done I tip my hat to you.

You've done a successful air layering and grafting!

I think I will save a few of my give away plumeria specifically to try grafting.

Yeah, I like to practice on my noids. That way I don't feel bad if it doesn't make it.
